You need STABILITY to produce FORCE. Strength alone (power of the cannon) doesn’t dictate the force produced.


In swimming, you need a strong, stable core in order to both initiate and transfer force across your body. Even if you have the ability to produce lots of force from your arms and legs, without a stable body position, you won’t be able to.
